So tomorrow begins my week-long journey as a Wood Pulp-Based Sheet De-binding Technician. That's right people will actually be paying me money to take staples out of sheets of paper. Kind of makes me glad that I haven't finished college yet, because this would be a hell of a lot more depressing if a had a degree. Oh well, I can't really complain ( Read more... )

I tend view life as one huge disasterous clusterfuck. Honestly, I like those type of jobs, a lot. Its really too bad general/manual labor doesnt pay like it used to. Not congratuating myself or anything, but more to make a point - I think Im smart enought that I could any profession in existance if I wanted to and/or applied myself... but I never been happier than at my soldering job or to a lesser degree my old dishwashing job. Jobs where i could go on autopilot all day and not worry about anything or think too much. Bu then maybe Id change my tune as I gained expertise

Im away at college now, I like it, yeah I can pass my classes, Im doing ok. Yet its filled me with more doubt than ever before. I could have the skills to make tons of cash by the time I get out of here... or the economy could be in the toilet by 2008 (I have reason to believe it will be). But even success doesnt necessarily mean happiness. so it goes. :)
