[The woods are pleasant and sprawling, if you ignore the standard camp inhabitants (zombies, toucans, etc.). The sun filters between rustling leaves, and a path winds between the tall trees and forks up ahead. A sign points towards the right fork and says only "MEADOW". The left fork has no sign, and looks far less travelled, and far darker

There are exits to the NORTH, SOUTH, EAST and WEST here. There is absolutely nothing that distinguishes this part of the forest from the rest.

If you were fast enough, you might've caught a glimpse of the creature as it runs to the east.]

[No matter how fast you run, it still seems to stay ahead, barely in sight.

[It doesn't really change anything. When you go east, you barely catch a glimpse of something running to the south.
