Got my hands on Brawl

Going to post some of my impressions here:

(Don't click if you don't want secret characters revealed cause I will be talking about them.

Brawl:

Just a few things, I have a ton of homework to do, but if you guys want to know any specifics go ahead and ask.

I've been focusing on Sonic and Rob because they're just cool characters, but from what I can tell Sonic will be mid tier and Rob will be high tier. Sonic is basically like Young Link from Melee, he can build up a lot of damage, but he lacks any really good kill moves. His down smash, his forward smash and his back air are all that kill anyone. On the plus side he plays about what you'd expect from Sonic. He's sexy fast. Rob has some pretty easy combos and can juggle players in the air with up air and up smash. Marth is back and looks to be high tier again. Fast and strong like before, his sword is shorter though.

King Dedede has a retarded chain grab on what seems to be every character, It's an invincible chain grab if used on a character by a wall. I argue that Ganon is worse then he was in Melee, well every character is without L Canceling and wavedashing, but I think he's worse even by Brawl standards.

Edge hogging and Edge guarding is a lot harder to do to people in the past. Air game is obviously more important.

THE GAME PLAYS DIFFERENTLY!

Ridiculously so.

Also, sometimes character will randomly trip. We can't figure out what effects it, but it's retarded, but cool. I can just picture two pro brawl players playing waiting for the other to fuck up then their character randomly trips. If both players don't expect it, it should theoretically throw them off, but the tripped up player will probably die from it.

btw, to make most of you happy:

No:
Wave dashing
L-Canceling
Crouch canceling
Light Shielding
Power Shielding (Some projectiles can be reflected simply by holding R or using a certain attack like Robot's Forward B.

New:
Toadstool jumping (Pretty sure it's a lame spike that people can jump out of)

Gotta relearn Smash
