Huh. Very interesting to hear. Stormwatch and Animal Man sound quite intriguing, and I'm also curious about Swamp Thing. I might have to catch a look at these to see if they can snare me. :)

I'd say Animal man is the best "first" issue as it has some genuine horror moments. The other two will depend on whether you're a monthly reader or someone who prefers to devour a whole trade paperback as they have more of a promise of things to come feel to them.
