Birds Rule!!!!
This is a pic I started at Furnal Equinox, inbetween customers at my table. I started coloring it at FCN, then finally finished it a few days ago.
Her name is 'Scarlett', and I hope to draw more avines in the future. For now, her prints will add to my print book, to show folks I can draw birds and other feathery folk too.

What a fun con!
 Susan Van Camp and I drove up from Detroit to pick up our buddy Heather Bruton, and we drove on up to the hotel.  Very easy to check in, and we got our con badges quickly too!
Once in the Dealer's Den, I was unhappy to see that my corner of the room was dark due to ceiling lights being out.  The con staff saw to it that the hotel ( Read more... )

Gary and I celebrated V Day somewhat late, but just as sweet!
He got me lavender roses and a new crab, and got my sister-in-law Christine to make top hats and monocles for several of the crabs to wear! (Dapper Crab is...dapper!)
I commissioned a watercolor of two little lovebirds from a fellow FA artist, and matted and framed it for him.

I came home from ConClave late on Saturday night, and saw these two pink fellows hanging out by my garden.  I don't know how they got there.  Gary doesn't know either.  Pam and Mack are mystified.

ConClave is this weekend, (starting today!) and I did some new china pieces for the art show! This piece is titled 'Griffin Plate', and it's a 12" porcelain plate, microwave safe. (hand washing recommended.)  I'll also have some mugs, ornaments, and even a tea set!
