There is going to be a FREE Judicial Selection Symposium at the RI federal courthouse on Thursday, Sept 24 from 7-9pm.  The symposium will be moderated by Chief Judge Mary Lisi, and the panel will discuss how judges are chosen across the country (appointment, election, merit selection, etc).  It is open to the public and free!

The mother of a 5-month old baby was fired for taking unscheduled breaks to pump at work (she worked for Isotoner)... And an Ohio appeals court said that's OK.  That's it is not discriminatory to fire someone for reasons related to breastfeeding.
