Prepare your base the way you like, my first step was to create some light blobs on the bottom corners, I've used two different shades of green (because of the grass), I used a light one on the right and a darker one on the left. The blobs were left on softlight, then I duplicated the blobs layer and set it on screen.
I've now used a "layer" layer to add some reds, I did it because she's a (hot) redhead, but basically, you don't really need it. Or better, you should pump your predominant colour!
A black and white adjustment layer set on soft light, in my case I've edited them like this:
A #9a6d8f color fill layer on softlight (yes, this icon kept going back and forth on red tones)
Selective colour layers because EUGH RED, bear in mind that these numbers work for this specific case!
reds: -35 / -33 / 100 / 53
yellows: 74 / -21 / 100 / 2
neutrals: -15 / 5 / -9 / -5
black: 0 / 0 / 0 / 15
On a new layer with a brush (I have no idea which one, but a round one should do) I've erased the stuff in the top corners behind Julia
I've used a texture over the subject, if you recognize it let me know (I think it might be a LOOKSLIKERAIN's one, but I'm not 100% sure). Set it on screen and masked away what I didn't want
I've added some green blobs again on the top using a soft round brush and blurring them, setting the layer on screen
This gradient map on soft light!
I've duplicated the gradient map and set this copy on darken at a low fill (15%)
A black and white gradient map now to deepen the shadows and enchance the lights
And now because, yes of course I like red, a colour balance layer to take all those reds and pinks away!
midtones: -100 / 26 / 56
shadows: -15 / -20 / -44
A vibrance layer to give some depth to these new colours
A black and white gradient with the white on the right side, to lighten up her features, layer is set on soft light
With a brush (a round one I think), I coloured the texture behind setting my layer on colour, so it gave the purple a nice rusty tint
At this point I contrasted my icon, do it the way you usually do, I probably used the smart sharpen, but I don't remember. And for the las step before the text I've used a gradient map layer with #3e2d18 on the left and #e6d9ca on color at a mid-low opacity (45%) to desaturate it a bit
Picked the lyrics from songmeanings.com and used "a bug's life - debugged" font. That's it!
I dediced to go and do a "favourite per makers, and not a favourite as most used, this is because it's easier for me to navigate my folders!
Favourite on the list!

Third one is clickable, fourth and fifth I mostly use on darken or subtract, erasing-painting over some part of them. And I usually change most of the colours of my textures!
lookslikerain
As I said, I usually change the colour of the textures as needed these were mostly used on screen and the last one on darken / exclusion / subtract
