Both tutorials requested by reebeecaa

I prepared my (very blue) base on it's ogirinal size (now resized to 500px for showing purposes), used a colour fill layer #c18759 on soft light to take away some blue

Then a curve layer on screen to lighten it up, just set see what works for your own cap, mine was a pain! Once that's done I resize my canvas a chose a crop!

I've used a beige colour to uniform my icon (that white light on the background was irritating! #e2deb6 on multiply, then with another slightly darjer beige I darkened my background a little more

With a white brush I created a couple of blobs of light on the sides of Sansa

Now, the hair, I selected the hair with the pen tool, because I like it, but I'm sure the lazo would work too, and I applied a flowery texture from this pack (it's the bottom left one!)

Applied then a gradient map #945146 / #f6e9da on screen at a veeeery low opacity

Another gradient map (same one as before) this time on multiply to get a reddish tone!

Duplicated the previous layer and left if on multiply with only a low fill %.

Last step before the text was this texture by pandavirus on soft light, using the corner and the deep crack to "divide" her face from the rest!

Now, the text was a bit of a mess, anyway I've used "antrokas demo" and
"museo sans" and transformed them as I went, the colours for the text were picked randomly so, I can't help there, sorry!

Okay, I'll star the tutorial from this base over here, but as usual I fixed my caps on a larger canvas and then, on this Joel's one, I've added a bit of a background on the upper side of the caps using colours from the original background and a round brush, I didn't save the separate layer so I can only assume, anyway it doesn't really mean anything, fix the background the way you want!

I've lightened papa!Joel with a dark blue layer set on exclusion #031a2a

Then a colour balance layer where I dulled the blue a bit to make it more green, this totally depends on your base tho.

With a soft brush I created a blob in the upper right corner (no idea why I did it honestly)

Then I pasted on top my other cap of Ellie, and set it on soft light

I duplicate Ellie and clip it to the other one, then set this new layer on screent to make her appear a bit more

I duplicate it another time and PROBABLY I saturade the colours a bit because she's more reddish, anyway this layer also goes on soft light, masking away everything that ends up on Papa!Joel

Usual texture by Pandavirus on soft light, masking way a bit over Joel's Face

With a brush I coloured the bottom part of the icons in a darkish blue and set the layer on colour dodge at a mid-low opacity, because I needed it to be different from the top, I also, on a different layer recoloured Joel's shirt

With the usual soft brush I created another blob on the top-right corner of my canvas lowering the opacity to something mid-high

Pumped the saturation of the colour through and Hue/Saturation layer

A gradient map layer with #1d0108 / #c7dfea on darken (I masked away Ellie's bloody lips)

With a blue picked from Joel's shirt I created a gradient on the bottom part, you can see how it looks on white in the middle image, then the layer went on screen, I duplicated it and set it on overlay

And onto the red! #c14229 on Darken with a mid-high opacity (love darken to bits!)

Used a "layer" layer to get back some lights an shadows, the numbers depends entirely on your image as usual

With a brush I made some correction over the top right corner and a few on Ellie's face where it seems like she's dirty.

And as a final step post sharpening, I add a new "layer" layer to makes the lights more glowy

The font used are: Sanchez and bombshell pro, the text was composed on different layers and then the word "blurring" was set on color dodge to blend in with the background!
