Terrorism and Radicalization: I was most interested in his description of terrorist networks. Effective loose networks seem preferable to rigid hierarchies. (Especially nowdays, since my company is waiting for the OK from the parent company to give me a raise. I kid you not. It's a mess.) (I properly used 'loose'!)
OOXML: I've been watching this. Microsoft will play nicely with others shortly after the market stops taking its shit. It'll happen eventually.
Brain paradox: We don't know anything. We can just evaluate the usefulness of models. Fundamental knowledge is lacking.
