Anyways, at the start of the second arc, Near is 19 years old, his birthday is on August 24, 1991. His HTR 13 says so.

I think you could have elaborated a little bit on his History by adding details about him being the world's greatest detective and describing the Kira case, but other than that, your application is A-OK.

•THIRD PERSON SAMPLE ☆ Sakura could not believe that she had failed. It wasn't so much the fact that she failed that bothered her, but the fact that her teammates had gotten injured and could have died because of her carelessness; her mistake.

She had underestimated her opponent, and now she would pay, for although she had managed to save her teammates by giving her life in exchange, she had given her life away. But it was worth it. As long as her precious people were safe, happy, and most importantly, alive, it did not matter what happened to her.

So, now, she awaited her doom in a dark, dank, moldy cell far away from anything she had ever known or cared about, her chakra restricted, and her hope almost non-existant.

•HISTORY ☆ He grew up on the Destiny Islands, untroubled by life's circumstances and spending his days on a small island with his friend Sora. When Kairi came to the island from another world, Riku began to get curious, and was consumed with finding a way out. In his quest, he encountered Ansem, a man who promised Riku the power he needed to see the other worlds. Riku accepted, and subsequently gave his allegiance to the Heartless and their Darkness. Riku was eventually corrupted by Maleficent, coming to hate his best friend, convinced that he, and only he, could find Kairi's Heart. He was given Dark powers, and was eventually possessed by Ansem, who had no body, and nearly killed Sora. Ansem was exorcised by Sora, and Riku regained his body, but, as he learned during his journey through Castle Oblivion, Ansem still remained in his heart. He hated how he was still relying on Ansem's Dark powers, but King Mickey convinced him that it was his Darkness that he was using, and his alone.

•THIRD PERSON SAMPLE ☆ He could still feel the blood running down his face from the bullet. The first one, the one that had broken his helmet, had grazed his scalp, and some blood had trickled down, but the second shot had pierced his skin before something had transported him to this dingy street.

He took off his neckscarf and dabbed at the wound, but it was soon bloodied and he had to throw it aside. He stood, slowly, and painfully, testing out his wearied limbs. Who - or what - had grabbed him before the bullet broke through his skull and into his grey matter? Had it been C.C.? Had she somehow managed to get back from fighting Orange-kun in such short a time?

No. It wasn't possible. She didn't have that kind of power. She couldn't teleport herself, otherwise she would have done it while he was watching. So it was someone (or something) else.
