I voted in the
Multifaceted awards. A few of the categories were tough as I had to choose between several fics that I absolutely adore. If you haven't voted, do so!
Today was the first day of class, and I think this could be a wonderful semester.
I was nervous about the Astronomy class because I've heard it's lots of math, but it actually seems like the lab holds most of the math. I need to see how many hours of science I need, because if it's only 3, I'm going to drop that lab since I don't have to take it in conjunction with the lecture.
The English class looks to be really interesting as well. I like the prof, although it was only the first day and he could very well suck by the end of the semester. He did make a few Monty Python references and he seemed to have a sense of humor in general, even in the syllabus. However, the class is going to require copious amounts of writing, well not copious, but more than any other class I've taken. I have 3 response papers (2-3 pages), a midterm paper (6-8 pages) and a final paper (7-9 pages). The response papers are not graded but more practice for the midterm and final. I'm not worried. Yet.
I saw That Guy again Sunday night and we watched Rushmore then The Empire Strikes Back. Somehow he'd never seen The Empire Strikes Back -- even though he'd seen the other four movies in theaters, no less -- and he'd only seen parts of Rushmore.
I think I'm going to force myself to write tonight. I haven't done any serious writing in about a week and I feel horrible leaving The Wedding so unfinished, esp. since it's only going to be 3 chapters (or 4 if I can't squeeze it to 3). It would be nice to finish it quickly because I want to take a break from writing. The next thing I write, I'll have it completely done before posting, that way I don't have to deal with stress of getting the next chapter written and posted in a timely manner.
