Beach

Ahh back from the beach...in an attempt to salvage what was left for my spring break after having oral surgery I went to my friends beach house in Walton Beach....great time! Great friends good food and the alcohol flowed freely...not to mention very good herb. Sad to leave beach was soo nice...water was cold as hell but the surfing was quality and ( Read more... )

Yes.....why do you believe? Because you were conditioned as a young human to believe what your parents and their parent before them and their parents before them....trace the inheritance of ignorance. Someone who loves you for no reason other than he supposedly made you? What logic is that?! I mean its nice to think that if your good and give 10% of you check to the church that you too can go to live with this omnipotent being in a utopia. Yeah, well I'm not holding my breath. Why can't we in this enlightened day and age do what we deem as good without the promise of reward? Why must we be motivated by some invisible deity shaking his finger at us saying, "You had better do good or I'll case you into the bowel of hell".....oh wait my favorite,"Only through me shall you gain entrance into my father blessed land". OK so if I'm real good and I live my life doing why I deem is good and I've never heard of you I'll go to hell by default? Nice religion people....if you'll die for something you'll kill for something....more blood has been ( ... )

Trey, I don't know if you were aware of this, but for a while, I didn't believe. I do not believe because my paretns believe. I might believe more strongly because my grandpa believed, but most certainly not because my mother believes. My grandpa was in the army when he was young and was stationed in Panama. His company was going to be relocated and he was tired of fighting and wanted a way out. He had asthma, so he smoked a pack of cigarettes and got really sick. The doctor gave him a note saying he was physically unfit and was able to get out. His commanding officer asked if there was anywhere else he could go and grandpa mentioned a factory job in st louis. He knew nothing about factories, but when he got there, the person working next to him taught him everything he needed to know. It also turned out that his company was shipped to Normandy, where 2/3s died. Another time, he needed a part for a tiller that was broken. He had no idea where to get this part because no one carried them any more. He was sitting in church sleeping like ( ... )
