CIVILIAN LIFE:

Q1. Name: Daephraelle

Q2. How did you find out about Elite of the Fleet? From rotae , who has been squeeing over this since sometime last year, showing me all the really cool graphics she had made ahead of time and therefore sneakily planting in my subconscious (and my not-so-subconscious) the urge to join.

Q3. When did you first ( Read more... )

You're definitely great for the Operations track. You're flexible and cooperative, and seek comfort and happiness in companionship. You're intellectually curious, but put the lives of others before discovery.

I really enjoyed reading this, but sadly I don't get to keep you. D: Instead, I'm sending you to Exploratory Sciences track. I think you'll probably be one of the most people-oriented cadets they've had down there for a while, but with your values and priorities you'll fit right in.

You want to share information with others and contribute to the world to reach this "positive interpretation of the future" you're so fond of. Your priorities really showed in Q8 ("untouched by sentient beings") - it's an exploratory (novel experience, discovery) and a scientific (no sentient lifeforms, just the environment) focus all in one, the very definition of this track. :3

And while I love it when people list argumentative as a weakness (because in ES, where the devil's advocate is needed, it can be a strength too), the final answer to confirm the decision was your response to Q14: "...areas where I feel I am an expert..."

1. I love your icon.

2. You are seeking a sense of community. It comes off clear that while you do value alone-time, you seek social settings to both satisfy yourself and grow.

He was warm, even without the presence of emotion and he did not judge or see fault where there was only difference...Data is the one whom I believe would protect and standby his colleagues and friends the most, loyal and true. Your admiration about Data's quality shows a lot about yourself. I (like you) got interested in Trek from the reboot, watched TOS over the fall, and I'm on episode 8 of TNG season one. I've heard a lot of mixed opinions about Data (that he's just a lame replacement for Spock), but I completely agree with you.

4. When in an objective situation, I tend to be able to see both sides of a dispute or discussion and suggest alternate responses to difficult problems. This is an important skill - being able to remove yourself from the intricacies of a situation and see clearly all opinions ( ... )

From your five best characteristics, you're outspoken and empathetic, two extremely important assets in Operations, not to mention the diplomatic skills that you say you have! You seem to value life and others, and to be confident enough to deal readily with others.

Best of luck!
