i just had to take a portrait of myself for work, and while i was adjusting it on photoshop, i zoomed in on it. it was strange to zoom in on myself like that. to look at my skin. my eyes. my mouth. when i really zoomed in, i could see my childhood face in my current face. pants pants. it was strange because it actually reminded me of what i ( Read more... )

When you get that strange sense of intimacy, are you ever surprised by the emotions that the intimacy brings? For example, do you ever get disgusted with someone when you look closely at them that you hadn't felt that way about them previously? Or feel empathy for someone that you were previously distant from? Or does it simply magnify emotions that were already there? Or does it do nothing with the emotions? Do people seem more human close up?
