Pulse is no more. Ditto with the connected Arena, and Victoria's Restaurant. Flatlined, bankrupted a couple weeks ago now I guess. *shrug* There are no tears what-so-ever shed on my part.
That's awesome on the enlargements. I have a few 8x10's but only one pic blown up truly huge (one of the Hub Oil Fire explosion-I photographed). Only one nice enlargement of my photography and I never even bothered getting it framed or hung. *sigh* I am so too lazy often. And minimalist in my aesthetique, I don't hang very much.
That's an interesting take on 'social drama' but, meh. It can be a sign of connectivity, of a certain belonging within said community; but it is also a sign of a million other worse and immature things. However, I'm probably the wrong jaded person to get started on anything re: inept clubby politics. ;-D
I hear it looked nicer there after all the renovations.. less grotty. Probably cost a lot. Hopefully that's not a microcosm of life; take a risk on big changes, only to get slapped down and shut down. I don't care to know the financial story behind it all (simple: more cash out, than in), but Metro's cool.
A big photo of an industrial explosion seems quite appropriate for you. Mounting 2x3's on foam-board only cost me about 15 bucks at London drugs. You could just double-side tape it to your wall, cheap cheap.
