erroneous back

What happened was this: Tonight I composed an update for my journal, as it recently occurred to me that I haven't written in ages. Then, through a series of erroneous back's and refresh's, it was lost. It was lost to who-knows-where, leaving me to puzzle if these misplaced words drift around the e-ether, to someday float to the surface, or if they' ( Read more... )

I always find it absolutely hilarious when someone expresses their experiences and emotions in the form of mathematical formulas and inequalities rather than prose. It's so much more creative than "I saw so and so today and they made me feel like this!" Good show.

I'll see you at Chimera! It should be fun!

While I'm sad that your original post is gone, because it would have been very interesting to hear about all of your doings and happenings, I must tell you that this post was highly amusing. I'm secretly pleased the original was lost so that I could read this one instead. It made me grin.

"It was held in a high tower at Eau Claire."
At first I mis-read that as "I was held in a high tower at Eau Claire." and I got all sorts of romatic notions about kidnappings and imprisonments and ransoms and so forth. Still, the party you describe sounds like something out of a movie.

I was held in a high tower in Eau Claire. The expansive environs in which I found myself confined were of an opulence surpassed only by the nouveau-baroque homes of the wealthiest RIAA darlings; rich tapestries, giant paintings, and uncomfortable-looking furniture. I was forced to survive on peeled grapes, tarts, and a lovely selection of exotic cheeses, including double-cream brie, sheep's milk gouda, and Bel Paese. While the only music allowed was the pleasant tinkling of sounds coming from the grand piano. Pleasant for the first few days. After that it becomes pure hell, and likely a greater hell for the poor soul chained to the piano stool.

Cool, and very entertaining. I feel your pain re: the lost journal entry, as I lost one myself the other day due to my computer freezing, but you've done much better than I did at making the best of it.

See you tonight! :)
