Thats a prime right? Awesome purchase, I've only heard good things about them.

What do you use by the way? I've been trying to decide which brand I want to go with for when I buy my camera. So far a bunch of people have been telling me Canon, but I know a few who have Nikon and Olympus...

If you're going to get a canon, go for a higher end one, not the XSI. I've found the plastic grip to be dissatisfying and you can tell it's an introductory digital SLR. I would definitely go for a Nikon, those are some solid cameras and great lens variety. I personally use a both a Pentax ME Super SLR from the 70s and a Pentax k200 DSLR. The great thing with pentax DSLRs is that you can use any lens that uses the k-mount, which is pretty much any lens made by pentax within the last 40 years. If you're going for a DSLR, go for a Nikon or Pentax, or higher end Canon if you have the cash. If you're going for a film camera (which I would definitely recommend) I would suggest any brand really, although I am partial to the Pentax cameras, they are built like tanks. Plus if you invest in an old pentax and some lenses then you'll have lenses for your DSLR if you decide to go the way of the pentax ( ... )
