Although I don't understand the phrase, "in for a penny, in for a pound", I enjoyed your fic.

Thanks, Raven. It pretty much means something along the lines of - once you're knee deep into the water, you're pretty much wet, so you might as well go swimming.

I'm starting to see all of this as mini-bites of one big fic, which will eventually segue into the Bale bits. Have to see how the prompts go over at comment_fic over time, but even if they don't "prompt" Bale/Crudup - I'll probably have to go there as we get nearer to the summer!
