the equality ride made its way to my alma mater, acu, on monday.
i was nervous about it, considering the ways in which the love of
christ was offered to the riders by way of police, barricades, and
trespassing arrests
at several of the other universities they tried.

and my stomach clenched when i heard students cheering and

I remember the day you spoke in chapel VERY clearly. I was, and still am, proud of you for your words and your openness. I really enjoyed reading those articles. I wish everyone would be more compassionate and inclusive, like the pastor from your hometown suggests, on this issue and many more. The Equality Ride sounds like a really good thing. I didn't know that was happening. This post is going in my memories.
