i own a mini-DV camera, an iPod (named madelyn), a serger & a lava lamp, & i've taken pottery classes. ooh lawdy lawd, i'm a indie girl. i do a lot of the academic stuffs, too, but i'm more "progressive" or "granola" than academic.

So, This quiz's indie is well and good, but a contradiction, no? The term comes from "independent" as in, partial to independently produced music. The whole idea behind indie is to be free-thinking and anti anything mainstream. Which would be the very antithesis of the girl who is up on all the latest Things and knowledgeable about the minutia of pop culture. Right?

I consider myself indie, I guess, but not the way this quiz presents it. So I'll just pretend that the quiz actually meant I am indie in the way that I think of it, which is free-thinking and ambivalent to pop culture unless it has something legitimately interesting to offer.

I got the progressive girl thing which, sadly, seems to mostly fit my personality. I'm kinda sad that I didn't get the "Academic Girl" one.

Is it sad that when I read indie girl I think Indy 500? Maybe she's a racer... or a hick? Think about it Hever. Maybe she DOES fit you..
