Well, I haven't updated in like, forever, so I figured since I was up and cruising around livejournal-land that I would update. I know everyone is overjoyed!
So, what have I been up to? When I start to list everything, I don't feel so bad about being behind.
Well, I'll start with a rundown of my activities today:
Dentist ~ someone that I spend way too much time seeing. I mean, my dentist is really nice, but seeing him just means painful drilling on my teeth and needles through the roof of my mouth to numb it. I actually sneezed out the needle last week--he hit a nerve that runs from the eyebrow through the nose to the mouth--and it immediately cause me to sneeze. I was actually kinda proud--he said in all his 17 years of dentistry that that he has never had a patient sneeze the needle out before. So I went in today to get my permanent crown--which is a good thing because I pulled the temporary out last night eating gumdrops, which feels really weird--but Dr. H didn't like the way it set against my next molar which is, surprise, surprise, another crown. So I have to come back next week when he'll do another filling--he's done two in the last week--and seat the crown. Moral of the story is: pop is EVIL!!
Then I came home and did my homework---garrrrr--that was a pain! Excel so didn't want to plot my data using a logarithmic scale--took me forever to figure out. This was for ME 564.
(1) Classes ~ I am a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering, so my class names sound really strange. (I refer to my classes by their numbers because it is what I identify the class with, more so than the class's actual name)
- ME 564 "Noise Control Engineering" I have a set of homework, about 8 questions, due on 10/19/05. Lab #2 is also due on 10/19/05. I also have to start my project for that class and I also have my mid-term on 10/26/05. On Wednesday the 12th we are going for a field trip.
- ME 560 "Engineering Analysis" which is a fancy name for really complicated differential equations. I have, I think 3 problems, due 10/11/05 and a mid-term on 10/18/05. I also need to get at least one book for the class. Because all this stuff is upper-level, the books are specialized and because our teacher didn't think that one specific text would cover the class, she didn't designate one--grrrrr...
(2) Then there is my business--I have training tomorrow morning at 8:30 which means bedtime soon.
(3) Also, I am trying to cancel my so-called insurance benefits, but the company refuses to call me back. Damn, Damn, DAMN!!
(4) Work on my art--I need to finish out my girl!Gojyo from Chapter 5 of ranma!saiyuki.
(5) Email/call my friend Marisa and see how she is doing.
(6) Try to somewhat clean up my room. Especially my dress clothes--they are all mushed together from being in the closet so long.
(7) Get some things to try to organize my documents--manila folders, expanding folder. Hmmm..., I'll have to think on this.
(8) Get suggested books to read.
(9) Work on my Japanese.
(10) Take practice licensing tests.
Bedtime now. Oh, and Nataku is how I felt Monday night--I lost my temper, something I haven't done in Years--and I still feel that way even now, with my temper only some-what cooled.
