While I know it sounds Big Time Scary, doing angiograms these days isn't nearly as risky as it was many years ago. Taryn had a stent placed in her heart when she was a freshman in high school (spring 2000) and did very well. While one might say her youth worked in her favor, the bottom line was that she had 15 years of ongoing heart problems so anytime they did any type of cath, it was a big deal. Still. As far as procedures go, it's a pretty non-invasive thing to have done on a patient. Dick Cheney had a stent put in his heart back in 2001, I think.

Try to relax... it really is a fairly safe and effective treatment. *big hugs*

And sorry about the bathroom mess -- you're right -- it's ewwwwww and then some! That's just the grossest thing ever! Make sure someone else cleans it up -- you don't need to handle raw sewage in any form while pregnant.

Aw, honey.... I'm glad to make you feel better! Now if they were putting in 3 or 4 stents? I'd be worried as hell because that would indicate a ton of blockage. But one? It'll be okay. :-)

It's just scary as hell when someone we love has to have something done.... and don't forget, you're pregnant and have a surplus of hormones!

*hugs*

I actually don't know how many they are putting in..they'll find out at the angiogram. And yes, my hormones are out of control (in a bad way :)
Give a few prayers if you can. And please talk to Taryn for me..I KNOW she has an in with the big guy upstairs:)

I used to work for a cardiologist and lots of people had angiograms and stents. It actually improved quality of life tremendously and everyone came through just fine. Make sure he has a doctor he feels comfortable with and everything will go great I'm sure!!

I'm sorry about your awful night. I've had nights like that where i was up with kids and it makes the next day absolute TORTURE. Good luck getting through the day!

As for the sewage problems... BTDT, and you're right. Eeeeeeeew is about the only thing you can say. Like it was said up there (darn me being late!), see if you can get someone else to clean it up...
