I did not get the job at the Phillips Collection. I'm not surprised - I was told that someone with their MLS and several years of experience had applied, so of course that's who they'll take. So no, it's not surprising, but it leaves kind of a nasty taste in my mouth all the same. It's a one-day a week, pays less than $15 an hour job, you know ( Read more... )

Hang in there on the job search. I know it definitely sucks hearing "no" so often, but it makes you tougher, I think.

My instinct is to vote for porn, but... *shrug*

You sound stressed. Job searching blows. When my job ends in December, around when I believe your degree wraps up, maybe we can find a nice street corner and be cardboard boxmates.

The frustrating thing is the lack of feedback. I hate it when jobs don't even send you a generic e-mail at least telling you that you're not even getting it an interview. Is that really too much to ask?
