O'Neill and Drexler for futurism.

Sagan, Dawkins and Shermer for scientific skepticism.

Cochran and Harpending (co-authors) for contrarian social realism.

I have nothing.

Although, I find the audio format of knowledge transfer to be more convenient than the written/read form. It takes me more than five minutes to get from the parking lot to my desk. In that five minutes, I can learn what it is about the latest Java exploit, that makes Java: Jet Another Stupid Assploit.

Although I've only seriously read his Eudemian Ethics and Nicomacian Ethics for my Masters, Aristotle really is a first-class thinker. The Oxford World Classics are the versions that we read, and although the quality of the translation matters, the original works are read in Greek by native Greeks, and inform the language. Translation isn't a mystery!
