I am in a similar boat, different pros and cons of course, but nailed to the wall. I am realizing more and more that San Diego just isn't offering what I need to be doing with my life. There are just zero jobs here for the art and more increasingly those niche library jobs. I look all the time, and the city is cutting funding for most humanities related positions.
Really and unfortunately, sometimes to get that foot in the door, much of it is who you know. We should put our heads together and figure out what you would like to do and see if we can make you some contacts! Especially if it is art related!

Believe me I am right there with you, each day I work in sales I find my morals corrupted and modified so i can keep my job, things I would never say and do when I started are now common place, and i am still the most honest one there. I hate it, that is why I sam doing what I am doing for school.
