The Unlikely Protagonist, Epilogue

“Well, fancy seeing you here, kid,” said a man in white suit and orange shirt.

“Same here,” said a thin, pale girl in jeans and tunic.

“There was quite some shit going down lately. Big boss went bonkers, they say. Thought I was a goner, too, but yon girlie vouched for me. She’s a new Seneschal now.”

“Elizabeth?”

“Yeah.”

“Good for her, I suppose.”

“So, you’re okay now. Strauss insisted.”

She chuckled. “Regent doesn’t know how to give up.”

“Anyway, afterwards they bound with some rebels and went to smash Chinatown.”

“Did they succeed?”

“Yeah. Apparently, there was this big name rebel that was supposed to have gotten killed by werewolf but didn’t. Torn the motherfucker’s head off.”

“Oh. Rodriguez.”

“What about the other girlie? No one saw her around much?”

“She reunited with old friends.”

“You hangin’ round here, then?”

“Not for long. Only as long as Roman Exibition is here.”

“Became a history fan, haven’t you?”

“Well, I figured I might as well put the college to some use.”

“As long as it makes you happy, kid.”

“Yes, it does. Thank you.”

And maybe, someday, I’ll meet him again. And I’ll have a story of my own to tell.
