Not so fast...

I'm sick and tired of people being totally against and outraged at the new September 11th movies coming out (Flight 93, World Trade Center ect...) These movies are actually good movies. And they're not about terrorism; there are no high budget over the top fight scenes. The movies are about survival and the heroism that was displayed on that day.

I think people are just more sensitive about the subject matter. World War II movies were made during, and right after World War II, but they were more 'Guts and Glory' oriented, some of it was just propoganda. These films, though, are much more personal.

I wouldn't boycott either film, World Trade Center and Flight 93 both look respectably done. However, I think some people will find that it's not the subject matter that disturbs them, but how unprepared they are to see the movie. I saw Flight 93, and in my mind, it was way too soon for me to see a movie like that because of the way how I saw 9/11 unfold.

Americans are just way to sensitive and for the most part sheltered away from reality. That’s why it is hard for us to deal with stuff like this.

I want to see both of them, simply to see how they're done.

They're still profiting off it. It wasn't right in WWII, nor now. I feel it's quite rude to make a profit from it. I want to see in writing where they say the money goes to the families...and what families? The poor ones? The wealthy ones? How do they decide who gets what? There's too much involved in that type of thing, or maybe i'm just lacking the info on it. I await your answer.

I agree people should see it before they judge it, but they have the right to judge it if they wish, as with any movie whose trailer you see.
