Picasso's women

Today we went to see the Picasso exhibit at the AGO.  The curators had almost as much to say about the women in Picasso's life as about anything else, which, I suppose, makes a lot of sense.  It appears as though Picasso had almost as much to say about those women as about anything else, as well.

I had a real similar cascade of thoughts when I saw the Picasso exhibit at the DeYong. (I wonder if it was the same exhibit...)

What was really odd to me, is that he seemed to have at least some part of an awareness of how awful he was being that comes out in paintings like The Kiss or that one (I forget the name) where he painted himself as a bull.

Wow, this is an awesome write-up! I'll keep it in mind when we see it.

The older I get, the more appreciative I am that I wasn't able to get the life I wanted, like some schoolboy fantasy, not least with relations with women.
