The good news... my truck is fixed.

The bad news... it took them until 7pm to have it completely ready for me. And I'll be damned if I'm driving unfamiliar roads, through the mountains, at night. Besides, it'd be nice to get some pictures of the trip... So, I get to spend another night in the hotel. Again, joy.

Last night was fun. Hung out with a friend of mine and his daughter (his wife had to work.) He wanted to go to the extent of taking me out to dinner, but I suggested hitting the grocery store and picking up raw ingredients - after all, he DID have a chef visiting him ( Read more... )

After having spent a couple days with my grandmother (and having been able to spend some time with a couple of my uncles), I'm cruising back into Fargo to hang out with a friend I haven't seen for about five, five and a half years. Should be fun...

After getting no sleep last night and only a couple hours of crappy, restless sleep on a cramped plane, I'm in Omaha, Nebraska. Bellevue, technically. I finally saw, in person, the truck I'm buying from my brother-in-law. To Grandmothers house I go...

I'm on the road to my Grandma's place. I've got my truck packed full of all the crap I'd left behind when I initially moved out to Seattle.

Well, my birthday is, at least. December 21st, 1997... My 21st birthday. Whee. You know... I don't remember what I did that night. And with good reason, if I can see through the alcoholic haze well enough. ;)

God dammit! Put me back! It's warm in there!
