I want to put some red streaks in my hair, but need to bleach it first. What's the best brand of bleach to get? Is there any kind of product I can put on my hair before or after to minimize the damage the bleach is gonna do?

If you go to Sally and tell them what you want, they can point out the product(s) you should use. My vote is still on the Jerome Russell peroxide and developer for less damage.

I actually found you through Dirty Creatures journal so I was going to ask if you mind if I added you.

Additionally, I have found that any of the dry powder bleaches work just about the same, the real secret is to use 40 volume cream developer to maximize the lift and also to take a plastic bag and wrap it around your head as it retains the heat a little better than just letting the bleach dry on your head. As for not doing too much damage, there is not a good way to minimize it ahead of time, just condition the hell out of it afterwards and only rebleach the roots when redoing it. Also, adding dye will add some strength back to it.

Thanks for the advice! One of these days I'll actually get around to bleaching it, or not. lol

I'll add you back. Your writings are pretty damn funny!
