What are your graphics set to? I don't know what else could cause it. Try lowering the multisampling thingy-- mine's at like...1 or 2x because I'd find myself freezing up after a bit sometimes. Ever since I changed it sometime last year I think I've had it happen maybe once, and then I think it was just warm.

ETA: The multisampling thingy being on the graphics tab, I mean. :) Near the top if memory serves.

3.2 updated some of the graphics settings, and some people have been reporting errors with different things. Try updating your graphics driver if you haven't.

Here's a thread from Tech Support. If none of those seems to work, try posting there.

A couple of graphic resets have changed a lot of the 'old' settings. You may need to log on and drop all the settings, if you run with them very low instead of medium or high.

However, Dalaran has been particlarily bad of late, with a lot of my guildies reporting that it's a slideshow at the best of times.

The previous posts all cover the 'easy' fixes. However, if these do not fix this? This actually sounds like the Video Card is getting hot from processing the hard connective polygons (meaning when you're around more people, your video card works harder to render them getting hot faster).

This is a frequent problem for people who don't play normal full screen mode. My sister and former room mate insisted on playing in window'd mode so they could do AIM and look at WoWhead frequently. Unfortunately this makes your video card use the computer's gamma settings as opposed to the game's more natural settings and will burn out a video card in short order (unless we're talking about a very primo-video card).

The easiest solution for this is to buy a new card, really good, video card.

The non-simple solution, is to dial down your graphics majorly. Especially ones dealing with particles. Then STOP PLAYING in Window'd mode.
