Like all things in my life, and like me, this post comes in a little late. Citing the nausea that has stalked me since yesterday afternoon and what amounts to a rather fluid-heavy head cold, I called in to work this morning and notified the boss man of my absence today. Then I slept for six more hours. After spending much of the day sorting through ( Read more... )

so i hope you mentioned to soy that once there was a boy and girl very much in love... who both fell ill with fevers... 100% perfect for each other...amnesia... pass each other on the street....
and i hope that when you said that to her she giggled sheepishly and let you have your way with her.
i'll bet she's a lady though... so maybe she let you buy the coffee.

this post is dated on my birthday.

i didn't it read it then; i read it now.

your murakami story is shot through with sadness, even though you ended up with a ticket. just in the next paragraph something will happen, and though you will reflect upon it with philosophy and wit, it doesn't change the fact that sometimes life just kicks.

hey, i meant to ask you about your time in japan. how long were you there for? are you going back? i want to go back..

miss you. x

Happy-birthday-back-then.

I was in Kyoto for five weeks. That was nearly three years ago, one of the happiest spans of time I can recall ever having, three years ago. Nearly. That's way too long. The three years, not the five weeks. I am going back. I aim to return sometime within the next eight months - just gotta save up some money and secure some kind of employment there. I'd love to return to Kyoto. That city is top-notch, and surrounded by gorgeous climbable mountains with eerie shrines and temples all over. But Osaka or Tokyo or Kobe would all do as well, I suppose. Are you going back? Meet me there.
