Kay sat alone in Rec Room 6, just people-watching. It was something she did a lot during her spare time, when she wasn't cooped up in her quarters or slithering around in the vents - she did a lot more watching than she did talking, at any rate

Maybe socialization could be a good thing. Especially since she'd hit a snag in her research and her mind needed to percolate over a few items from the experiment she was helping with. She noticed someone just people watching and was hesitant to approach, but nothing ventured nothing gained.

"Hey. You waiting for someone?"

Kay jumped slightly and glanced up at the young girl behind her, offering a small, friendly smile.

"No, not in particular - just passing the time." She hadn't seen the girl around before, but that wasn't surprising - there were enough people on this ship, one couldn't be expected to recognise them all.
