Aw, shit, this is my fault, I'll take the fall for it...
*looks evenly at Mal*
First off, I didn't know you'd been reinstated, Mal, otherwise I would have contacted you about this instead of Tanner.
Second, I believe Tanner was going to train all Armoury bridge staff on the controls after we'd finished and made sure it worked, which as of now, isn't the situation. He knows the controls the best, he made the board, he can brief you on it and it's workings.
Third, if there was a fight before the staff had been briefed, I'm sure Tanner would have gotten his ass up to the bridge to take over, seeing as how that would be his station as Acting Head of the Armoury, which he was until a short while ago.
Now, all of this was done in accordance with my orders, direct or otherwise, and as I was working on a project with the Armoury, it was my preogative to issue those orders and have them followed, regardless of your stance on the subject.

*walks into Armoury with PADD in hand*
All right, Tanner... let's get to work.
*waves PADD as walks over* Got a program to help mask the test to the other ship's sensors.
Can't let them see what we're doing, after all.

I suggest you stop what you're doing.
Protocol demands that you speak with the head of a department before... playing in his sandbox.
I haven't been spoken to.
And I'd really like to know how the HELL my station works. Preferably before there's a firefight.
::looks over at Tanner::
Ensign, I'm surprised you didn't insist that all Armoury officers who hav Bridge duty weren't appraised of the situation. That was lax.
If there had been a fight sooner, this ship would not be here right now as whoever was on the Bridge wouldn't have a clue what he was doing.
Any chance you considered that, Commander?

*blushes*
I thought we made a board that was pretty intuitive to use - hell, the design made sense to both Michael and Christina, which is saying something.
note to self: schedule in familiarization sessions with all bridge tactical staff
*waits for the Commander to take control of this situation*
wait...is Reed even meant to be in here?

Anything else you'd like to ask me?
