Bro Calendar 2013
It's that time again! Time for Bro Calendar Sign Ups!!
The Bro Calendar is a 12-month calendar that features that special, awesome relationship between two (or more!) people that may or may not be related. Think Jet and Spike from Cowboy Bebop. Or Vash and Wolfwood from Trigun. Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. Those sorts of relationships. This calendar is to celebrate characters being bros.
This will be the third Bro Calendar, and sign-ups and submissions will be almost exactly the same as last year.
Technical Details:
-Image should be at least 8.5"x11" (landscape, NOT portrait!) and the resolution should be AT LEAST 300ppi.
-Due date is Monday, October 15th.
-Color is preferred, but shaded greyscale is acceptable too.
-PG-13 max, please!
Any groups of FICTIONAL characters are allowed! It doesn't matter if they are from an anime series, manga, video game, American comic, TV show, etc, etc. They're all okay. And gender DOES NOT MATTER. Sure, it's a "bro" calendar, but female characters are DEFINITELY allowed.
There are thirteen spots open (12 months + cover). It's first-come, first-serve. If you'd like to participate, please tell me the bros you'd like, the series they are from, and if there is a particular month you'd like to claim (though you don't need to claim a month).
You can see last year's Bro Calendar here. Participants will all get a copy of the calendar sent to their home. Non-participants who would like a copy of the calendar will have the opportunity to buy a copy through Lulu or to purchase one from me (ordering over a certain number gives me a discount I might be able to pass on to others).
ALSO! If you'd like to have a special (fictional) event in the calendar, let me know. These could be anything from "anniversary of ______ airing" to "_________'s birthday (fictional characters only, please)" to "specific holiday from that one series." If you'd like a specific official holiday to be included, please let me know as well. I just don't want to put stuff like, "my brother Ben's birthday" in it. You DO NOT have to be a participant to request events in the calendar. If artists would like to make specific small pieces of art for certain dates, that is AWESOME and totally acceptable. =) If this list somehow gets too long, I reserve the right to close it off.
