The love of your life is inexplicably willing to talk to you after you blackmailed her into helping you blow up the ocean Chantry. Forgiveness is highly improbable. Regardless, you owe her an explanation. She has agreed to meet with you in the Library. Go to meet her. Do not be too early. Do not be too late.
FAQ/walkthrough:
Normally a successful combo move for Anders is ATTACK HER FACE WITH YOUR FACE plus MAKE SUGGESTIVE IMPASSIONED NOISES. This will not work in the Stop Being The Worst companion quest! In fact you may get knocked down and suffer a significant loss of health if you try this! If your health is reduced to 50% or lower, the scene will end as Anders is carried to the infirmary. If Summon Mabari is invoked by Hawke, you will be chased from the room and the scene will end with the quest invalidated. To prevent these outcomes, stay on your guard and choose diplomatic dialogue responses whenever possible. (Note: Some dialogue choices will result in the exclusion of a diplomatic choice from the next dialogue tree. Then you will be stuck between Sarcastic and Aggressive choices. YOU DO NOT WANT THIS.)
Make sure to complete the Shower and Laundry side quests before you enter the Library. Once you enter the Library, you cannot leave until the Stop Being The Worst quest has concluded. You can't stop in midconversation and go back to finish those quests if you forgot about them. I know, annoying, right? Note: The Shower quest can be skipped but completing it will unlock the Basic Hygiene Attention specialization. You may still receive Shaving sidequests periodically as Routine Shaving does not become available until level 50, and grinding to level up is not part of this game's structure, so you may as well accept that Routine Shaving will never be part of Anders' repertoire.
Flirting with the Hippie NPC who has the washboard will yield the usable item Dubious Vial of Aged Patchouli. Do NOT use this item in any romance or hygiene side quests. Save it to craft into a Stink Bomb in the next act.
Anders enters the Library, steeled for the worst and unwilling to expect anything better. Forget that joke he made last night about this being a date. He's fairly certain this is an interrogation.

It's what he owes Hawke, though. If she wants to talk ... it's the least he can give her.
