So, the show tonights ago went really really well! I think every single act improved. My scene (from Chapter 2 by Neil Simon) got a ton of laughs and was a blast to perform, and when I a small solo bit, it didn't sound half-bad, which suprised me quite a bit. That Spiderman movie?...NO. Despite an almost ungodly amount of positive reviews, this movie just didn't do it for me. The emotional bits fell a bit flat, Peter seemed like more of a whiner/object of pity than a superhero, and despite a few solid action scenes...we laughed at the movie more than we did with the movie. My brother told me of his crazy day today- he went to the Grand Prix with his friend (note: he did not enjoy the Grand Prix), and two of his friend's friends. The 2 friends randomly had a manhole cover in their trunk- in theory they had "found" it, but it's not like these things need to be replaced, so there's a coverless hole somewhere out there ( Read more... )
