Yeah, I think LyricWiki had it listed as a Within Temptation song, too. Because I seem to remember redirecting it to Blackmore's Night. >>

Oh, Internet.

There is a WT song called Wish You Were Here, but it is not the same as the Blackmore Night song by the same name.

Are the lyrics the same by any chance?

I don't recall.... hypo199 January 14 2009, 00:51:34 UTC
....a WT track by the name 'Wish You Were Here'...even a demo from the 'Enter' / 'The Dance' era. Blackmore's Night did a song by that name which is often mistaken for WT...check the FAQ at the official WT site fan forum as the definitive answer will be there (together with all the reasons why people get confused about it's origins).

I'm gonna check the fan forum, just to back me up when I tell this guy, yet again, that he is wrong. Thank you.

Within Temptation never recorded a song called 'Wish You Were Here', the version that I mentioned is by a band called Blackmore's Night. The lead singer, Candice Night, sounds a lot like Sharon and therefore it confuses people. The song 'Wish You Were Here' is on the Blackmore's Night album Shadow of the Moon.
