He'd been surprised to hear someone at the door to his quarters, and a little worried. Was there some new crisis- no, they'd have commed him, surely. As such he was relieved to see that it was Gaila, beaming at him. He grinned back and stood aside to let her in.

She just grinned wider when he stepped aside and let her in with no questions asked. "Hi Scotty. I hope you enjoyed the welcome party - I certainly did - but I think it ended a little too soon," she said, pulling a bottle of Orion kliner out of her bag.

Scotty laughed. He'd got bored pretty quickly, and he and Keenser had ended up sniping dignitaries in silly hats with invisible phasers. "Couldn't agree more," he said cheerfully. His eyes lit at the sight of the bottle. "Bloody hell, s'that kliner? I've no' had that for years."

She'd been fairly certain that alcohol would do the drink. "It is, and if you're very nice I'll even let you have some," she teased, and then let out an overly dramatic sigh. "It's really a pity how difficult it is to locate kliner in the Federation, but I have my sources."
