Ooh, I like crazy Reed wooing Tucker :-)

a great, shape-shifting spider that rules the universe, and will one day return to destroy the world as we know it. If the turtle doesn’t stop it first.

Is that a Stephen King reference, or am I way off?

Yes, I thought Pennywise would feel right at home in the Mirror Universe ;).

Thanks for the comment!

Very cool. I liked that creepy Reed acting as if this was totally normal.

He shrugged. “It’s the little things. That’s how you know.”

That line rocked. :-) As did the rest of the story.

THIS -- I like.

Now all I want to know is what happened that made Reed enjoy torturing Tucker so much. Is it because he's insane? Or because Tucker did/said something amiss? Because by the time IaMD rolls around, they HATE each other.

Either something happened, like you said, or this is a Mirror Universe AU. I guess it's up to you to decide :).

Great story, sita! You did a wonderful job. It was so well-written that I had no trouble imagining a MU Tucker having these thoughts. What was really chilling -- and made the story so convincing -- was the matter-of-factness of Tucker. He wasn't scared, he wasn't trying to take over, he was just trying to live his life without any hassle, but he knew that it was a dangerous place.

Thank you for the kind feedback, Kathy! I'm glad you thought MU Trip was in character; it wasn't easy, finding his "voice".

Glad you enjoyed the story :)!

ooooh creepy! But at the same time pretty damn awesome. Made me shiver just because Reed is so damn scary!

And Ensign Baker!! It made me smile, I have an OC called Baker so seeing the name made me squeal. Then I realised he was dead, but then the thought occurred it was evil Baker and therefore the good one is still alive and so it doesn't matter. And now I think I'm rambling like a crazy person and should stop lol

Great fic :)

LOL, I'm glad you don't mind that I killed off Baker's evil twin... the name just came to my mind when I was writing, and it occurred to me only later that you had an OC called that ;).
