Think along the lines of Sufjan's instrumentation plus the sugary pop harmonies of Mates of State, but with lyrics that don't make a person cringe. Really decent, and I keep playing it so I figure I probably better mention it on the internet, but my description sounds like something you will hate, you hella probably will. ah, the abraxas thing sounded fun, but nobody i super want to see is there and it's a bit out of the way so i'm probably out. not gonna hit bassnectar either, though i have to admit the time i saw him a year or so ago was totally fun.

fwiw iz and deron are in town playing what's sure to be some grooving house music. i was concerned it was underpromoted, but folks have assured me it will have a decent crowd. goes until late, so i figured i'd let you know even though you're working that aftershow.
