But at least now I think I understand a little better that the enemy is me, and the work to be done is on my perspective of the world, and not the world itself.

Congratulations! Some people never come to that realization and remain miserable for the rest of their lives.

Let it all go and move on from it. No, it's not easy at all, but Mike can tell you, it can be done.

And that is so cool about your Dad. I don't think we ever really get over wanting our parents' approval. Or, at the very least, their acceptance of our choices, without judgment.

*smile* I understand the desire for approbation and acceptance from others. Go you on trying to let go. It is difficult, and I'm still working on it as well. *hug* Trite though the statement may be: I believe in you.
