Markus stares at him, looks at the food and just ... backs away.

He knows what's in the chili.

is this like that treehouse of horror episode D: kch_kch May 6 2011, 01:15:04 UTC
Miguel was pretty sure he and Markus were cool. After all, the kitchen needed extra good cleanings, right? And if they weren't on good terms maybe everything would be...well, not up to code.

And they were up to code so he and Markus were probably friends, right?

"Something wrong, amigo?"

He shakes his head vigorously then glances over his shoulder and relaxes. Good, yujinn is here. Should Miguel suddenly uh... require aid, someone's there to help.

On second thought, maybe he should try to help. He points at the chili and shakes his head.

Please don't die.

It takes a little bit, but then suddenly Markus's gesturing translates into actual words. "But I made this! I opened the barrel and everything!"

Pause.

"I fed this to children!"

They're kids, they're resilient, they'll bounce back. He's more worried about you, the poor munch mady. It may be a fresh barrel, but Markus read the ingredients one day.

He grabs the chili from Miguel and dumps it in his garbage cart.

Markus just saved your live. You're welcome.

Miguel wilts. There's not much to say, so Miguel just says, "Oh." And glances at Markus again, blinking. "Thank you?"

He wasn't finished though. His stomach growls.

This is actually true btw, YOU'RE WELCOME. timisnotme May 8 2011, 04:44:57 UTC
He pulls Miguel to his feet and pushes him towards the vending machine. He shiftily looks around to make sure no one is looking then pushes 4-2-3-1.

Strangely the machine now displays $1 of credit on its menu. Have a free snack on the vending machine company.

..."Magia." Miguel almost wants to start bowing, but he gets the feeling Markus wouldn't like that.

Plus, he gets the feeling it's just a trick. "How did you do it? Show me again, por favor?"

Good because Markus might hit you if you started bowing.

Well if you're not gonna take advantage of it.. he enters his choice and.. looks like he's having a shrimp cup of noodle for lunch. He punches in the code again, slowly, so Miguel can follow it.

Markus, you have a new amigo. And that amigo is getting a lot of pop tarts.

"Gracias, really, thank you. This is amazing. I will have to hang out here more often."

Having gathered his fruity treats, he pauses and squints at the janitor. Only one question remains unanswered. "So...what's in the chilli?"

Well, at that rate the people who restock the vending machines will get suspicious and figure out what's go ping on and change the code. Oh well, he was up to the challenge. He pats Miguel on the shoulder before he turns to leave.

Some things are better left unknown.
