Summary: Conan invited Minato to soccer, but he arrived way too early since he was bored anyway. Beware, a soccer ball just might hit someone.

Minako was outside, taking in some fresh air before she saw a little boy with a soccer ball. She was sure that she saw him before when she first arrived here but she wasn't sure should she talk to him. He was really interested in playing with the soccer ball right now.

Still, watching him play with the ball reminds her of her own childhood just a bit...

Conan noticed, like with all other people, that someone was watching him. And like most people, she didn't seem to be threatening, he let her be. However, she seemed pretty interesting so he paused in his ball kicking to turn around to look at her.

"Oh. Hi, Minako-oneechan!"

"Conan-chan!" She said after noticing that he was walking up to her. At least now that she didn't have to feel awkward being the first one to talk to him. "What were you doing outside? Did you want to play soccer with someone?"

"Well...I promised to play with Arisato-san...um, Arisato Minato-san, afterwards, but I felt like playing already so I came early," he answered, purposely re-saying Minato's name just in case. But it wasn't like there were more than two Arisatos for now.

How odd, she thought to herself, she was appearing moments before he did. It was just coincidence right? Either way, she stared down at the soccer ball and back to Conan.

"How about a little game before he arrives hm~?" It has been a while since she played soccer but she might as well start now. Besides, Conan was adorable.

Conan gave a big nod. "Sure, Minako-neechan!" he answered.

"Do you play soccer a lot?"

"Haha, no not really. I haven't played it since I was a kid but now seems like a good time to start!" She said before looking back at the ball. "Do you want to start or should I?"

"How about I start?" Conan suggested, "You try to steal the ball from me!"

As Conan said that, he began to dribble the ball away from Minako.

"Don't think you're going to get away that easily!" She said before running after Conan to get the ball. The more she thought about it, the more he reminded her of Ken. How old was Conan anyway? Maybe eight? Either way, she couldn't think and keep up with him at the same time.

She did manage to keep up with the boy and tried to get the ball away from him

Of course Conan wasn't giving it his full on since his NEED TO WIN was not so terrible he became competitive over A.) a girl around the same age as him and B.) doesn't play soccer. Still, he enjoyed not having to lower his abilities too much to fit in with his appearance age group. It was a nice change.

He continued to dribble and run around with a smile on his face, sometimes getting ball taken away and sometimes taking it back.

Was Minako really that out of shape? Probably not, but she knew that this boy sure loved to play soccer. It wasn't that she had a hard time keeping up with him but she can tell that Conan did put a lot of time and effort to this sport.

Every time she managed to get the ball away from him, he always managed to get it back. "You must really nice soccer! You're really good at this, Conan-chan!"

Just this plain exchange of stealing and taking was pretty enjoyable to Conan. He hadn't been able to speak her too much but based on the short conversations and this exchange of balls gave Conan that she was a pleasant girl. Of course he didn't want to label her anything before he knew her well, but there were parts that reminded him of Minato. Was it was because they had the same last name or for some difference was yet unknown to Conan though.

"Thanks, Minato-oneechan! You're pretty good too!"

"How long have you been playing this?" She asked in between pants. Yes, she really was out of shape and this need to be fixed soon. Funny, she thought, how much 2 months can make a girl completely out of shape.

Oops, she almost tripped there!

Conan wasn't too out of breath yet. Still there sparking sweat rolling down from his forehead as ran around.

"Um, a year or so ago?" he answered. It wasn't completely a lie. He did at around age 5 or 6. It was just that was 10 years ago.

"Oh! Are you okay?" Conan asked, getting close to her as he kept dribbling.

She laughed a bit as she regained her balance. "Yeah, I'm fine, I didn't realize that I was that out of shape!" She said before running towards the ball again.

"I'm impressed though, you play really well! You must had a lot of practice during that year! Who taught you how to play so well?"

Conan was glad she didn't fall. With his size, he couldn't really catch her anything.

"Ehehe, thanks! I just played around with my friends and had my soccer ball with my wherever I went really..."

There were at times his classmates were frustrated at him since he didn't join in their games since he was playing soccer by himself. It's a mystery he didn't end up with no friends but Ran.
