On a normal day, the abundance of people would just annoy George. But today, despite the mansion fucking things up yet again on top of the hordes of fucking people, George feels...down. Off.

Left out. If she had to put words to it.

Which is stupid because it's not like everyone's playing a big game of foursquare and she didn't get to join in or something. So far people are working on getting out and exploring the limited area they've got to explore.

Even so, the first person who even looks her way? She's probably going to start a conversation with them. Seriously, she's that desp-- well, not desperate, but, well...

She just wants to talk to someone, okay? Shit.

Rei hadn't intended to be the first person, since she's not much of a conversationalist, but since she can't hear the narration, it's not a big deal.

She recognizes these surroundings...somewhat. She's heard of them anyway, listening in on conversations at school. Happening past George on her way to get some water, she pauses and turns to her.

"George."

George's narration side-eyes at Rei's for pointing out why this'll be awkward as hell.

As for George, she's super relieved to see Rei. Rei is nice and stable, and doesn't seem to dis like anything or anyone, which includes George. So she kind of sidles up next to her in a stilted sort of way and smiles tightly.

"Good to see you're okay, Rei...This place is, you know, weird." The real problem is that she feels weird, though.

And Rei's narration is unrepentant. Which helps when playing someone who doesn't talk much.

"It is a shelter." Rei starts to walk again, but slowly, so that George will go with her.

Good, because George is so doing that. Anything to keep from being alone.

Is that really such a big deal? Normally she loves it. Being alone...

It does seem like a big deal right now, though.

"You think? I guess it...feels like we're underground..." She looks around a little, not sure what to make of the place. Then it hits her. "Wait, like a bomb shelter?"

"Somewhat." Rei stops at the supplies and finds a bottle of water. "I have never been in one."

[akapeanut]

"Me neither." George stands a little too close to Rei, though she doesn't exactly look at her or anything. "But that might explain why this place feels so...creepy..."

[second_first]

Rei glances around and then looks at George. "Creepy?"

[akapeanut]

"I dunno. It's like...closed in. Like a tomb."

Which, for a dead girl, is awfully appropriate. But she still doesn't like it.

[second_first]

Rei looks around again. ...Okay, she can see that.

"It would be dangerous outside."

[akapeanut]

Huh?

"What makes you say that?"

[second_first]

"This is a shelter used during Angel attacks."

...Blink.

"Angel attacks?" What in the world...

"I thought you said you hadn't been in a place like this before."

[second_first]

"No. I was fighting."

"This--- this is your world?" George presses her lips together, too afraid to leave but, well. Uncomfortable. Confused.

"I think so."

Rei uncaps the water bottle and takes a drink.

"Is it bad?"
