i had to shovel the deck, to clear it of the inch thick layer of .5-inch diameter HAIL that
came down on it here. We made Mint Juleps using the hail for ice cubes.

WOW. The difference between out there and in here! We got a little hail and some flooding. But totally not an inch thick.

Good use for it, though!

I feel cheated. I was on the red line during most of it and saw only a bit as my train left MGH. By the time I got out at Davis we just had heavy sprinkles. *sob*
