I still owe a rambling post about DC and MCR and many other capitalized letters besides, but that's only half done and has more words than I can deal with right now, so here. ( Have a Who post instead. )
I will be incredibly earnest with you, Daisy! :D :D :D
I just watched episode for for the second time earlier and caught the river/pond thing and OMG OMG OMG *flaaaaaaaiiiils* Is there going to be another forest like on the Byzantium? I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN WAIT TO FIND OUT.
In dual conclusions: I think this mid-season hiatus is going to KILL me, and, if River doesn't turn out to actually be the TARDIS in some way, I think I'm going to CRY FOREVER.
I have alllll the feelings about this show. Like, even when there are episodes that are objectively Very Bad No Good, there's still this little center of joy that can't be touched. FAVORITE FOREVER.
IDK, and it is KILLING ME. Things that are also killing me: WHAT THE HELL IS THE DREAM LADY WITH THE WINDOW. WHAT ABOUT THE GIRL IN THE SPACESUIT. I need to know, Moff, you tease.
I have complicated feelings about that theory because now I'm just so attached to the batty, bitey TARDIS. I think I prefer them as separate characters, but I have zero doubts that if that does happen? It'll be written in a way that makes me love it to bits. I'm not allowed to think about the hiatus or I will WEEP TEARS OF BLOOD.
I...may actually be staring at a word document containg bits and pieces of the story I appear to be writing about how River is kinda the TARDIS?
(so, this utterly gorgeous snowflake-impossibility of an idea is in my head and I've got to at least try and get some of it down, even if it only ever makes sense to me)
Untouchable little centres of joy are my favourite kind of fandom thing ♥
I don't need to write a reaction post now because you wrote it! Srsly, what a fabulous episode. The TARDIS, she was so awesome and gorgeous. She STOLE A TIME LORD. ♥♥♥ Also I loved the creepy mindfuck in the corridors. (also, corridors! Gaiman's playing it old skool!)
The sad thing is that this is the coherent, restrained version of what I keymashed after my first viewing yesterday. *headdesk*
If the TARDIS really wants to do something, she will damn well do it. That's not exactly subtle. But for it to be as much her stealing the Doctor and refusing to give him back as vice versa? It just makes me so happy. They're the only two mad enough to suit each other. ♥
The corridors, yes! There is never enough running around in corridors. Also, I really liked that glimpse of how fucked up the inside of Amy's head is. I mean, your fiance stands guard around your little prison of suspended animation for 2000 years, and you already have an abandonment complex with attendant reluctance to form personal attachments? That's gonna leave a mark.
*points at alpheratz's comment* I was also RIDICULOUSLY pleased to see Amy and Rory in the corridors. I hadn't realized how much I missed seeing more of the TARDIS than the console room. Also Rory's getting really skilled at dying. *pets him* (one thing I did like in the Black Spot ep was the "Toby!" "Rory" "TARDIS!" moment - which just makes this week's episode more fun.)
I wish we got to see so much more of the TARDIS than we do. We'll never get to see the swimming pool in the library now. :( But ugh, how creepy was the House's comment about liking them running around inside him? NOT COOL, GAIMAN. *shudder*

Doctor Who is totes my platonic ideal fandom. Ungood things get tossed out, leaving only the stuff I heart.

Rory's life, so hard. Mostly 'cause they keep taking it away from him.
