Syd Barrett dead at 60.

I honestly don't have it in me to ruminate very deeply over this right now. This man meant a lot to me. I really idolized, respected and loved him, as much as you can love someone you've never met.

He was tragic and he was brilliant. Just supernally beautiful and with such a resplendent imagination. I'm so very sad right ( Read more... )

I'm devastated. I've had a giant picture of his face as my desktop wallpaper for a couple years now, he has these big sad eyes on and I keep getting so upset whenever I look at it.

My iPod's sure gonna be sick of Syd by the time the day is done.
