BITCHIN'
So I started looking for a sewing machine a couple weeks ago so that I could actually get some projects done instead of having an enourmous box of
"fix someday" and
"refashion, if i ever get around to it."
I went down to the sewing machine store, and had pretty much picked out a machine, but it was $285 bucks, so I was hemming and hawing about whether I could afford it now, or if I should wait.....
but apparently the powers that be must love me or something, because the very next day I found the SAME machine on UsedVictoria, for HALF the price. And it's brand new. And awesome.
So with my new inanimate (or partially inanimate, i guess) best friend, I fixed my enourmous tent-shaped sweater by adding a zipper, which has made it SO much better. It's more outerwear now, like a cowichan sweater.
I also finished the collar.
I think I will add pockets, and potentially sew in some jacket lining?
