It took me months to find the words.
Even longer to gather the courage to say them.
Countless drafts
Red marks
Blurred ink from where I lost control.
But one day,
I did it.
I approached you
And months of preparation disappeared
Forgotten.
Because you smiled at me,
Welcoming me in.
You had no idea.
I loved you then.
It choked me
But I forced words out of my mouth
Because you had a right to know.
For the first time that day,
I looked you in the eyes
But you refused to meet mine.
I loved you then
but it was all on one side.
You don't talk to me anymore.
I miss your voice.
I hope you miss mine.
Because I loved you then
And I haven't stopped.
